Terms of use
Accounting Companies is a directory of accounting and bookkeeping businesses in Canada, operated by OLT Solutions (Québec, Canada). By using the site you accept the terms below.
In effect since September 3, 2026.
What this directory is
It is a compilation of publicly available business listings — business name, address, telephone number, website and the city it operates in — for businesses that present themselves as offering accounting or bookkeeping services. The entries were gathered from public sources. They were not submitted by the businesses, and in most cases we have had no contact with them at all.
Its only purpose is to help someone find a business near them and get in touch. It is a starting point for your own enquiries, nothing more.
What this directory is not
- Not an endorsement. Being listed does not mean we recommend a business, vouch for it, or have any relationship with it.
- Not a ranking or a rating. We do not rank, score, rate or grade firms, and there is no “best” list. Results are ordered by distance from the place you searched. No business can pay for a higher position.
- Not a register of qualified professionals. Inclusion says nothing about licensing, registration, insurance, membership of a professional order, or competence.
- Not advice. Nothing on this site is accounting, tax, financial or legal advice.
The site does carry clearly-labelled advertising from an accounting company. It is marked “Sponsored” or “Paid advertisement” wherever it appears, sits outside the search results, and is that advertiser’s own claim about itself — not ours about them.
Professional designations, and why we make no claim about them
In Québec, the titles “CPA”, “chartered professional accountant”, “professional accountant” and “public accountant” are reserved by law to members of the Ordre des comptables professionnels agréés du Québec. Every Canadian province reserves the CPA designation in a comparable way. This directory holds no designation data for any listed business, so we do not state, suggest or imply that any of them holds one.
Where the site explains what a CPA is, or what a bookkeeper does, that is general information about the professions — never a statement about a particular listed business.
Before you engage anyone, confirm their status with the body that regulates them:
- Québec — Ordre des comptables professionnels agréés du Québec
- Ontario — CPA Ontario
- British Columbia — CPA British Columbia
- Alberta — CPA Alberta
- Saskatchewan — CPA Saskatchewan
- Manitoba — CPA Manitoba
- New Brunswick — CPA New Brunswick
- Nova Scotia — CPA Nova Scotia
- Prince Edward Island — CPA Prince Edward Island
- Newfoundland and Labrador — CPA Newfoundland and Labrador
- Canada (national body) — CPA Canada
In Yukon, the Northwest Territories and Nunavut, start with CPA Canada, which will point you to the responsible body.
What the services shown mean
The service labels on this site — bookkeeping, payroll, corporate tax, tax planning, personal tax — are inferred by us from the public listing category a business was found under and from words in its name. They have not been confirmed with the business. They are a way of narrowing a long list, not a statement that a business offers, or is competent to offer, that service. Ask the business what it actually does before you engage it.
If we have this wrong for your business — including if you are not an accounting business at all — tell us and we will correct or remove the entry.
What “verified” means here
“Verified” has one narrow meaning on this site: a specific detail of a listing was checked against a named source — a government business register, or the business’s own website — and we show what was checked and the date it was checked. It is not a quality mark, not a certification, and it says nothing about designations, licensing or insurance.
Everything that does not carry that mark, and anything shown without a date of verification, is listed from public sources and has not been verified. Most of this directory is in that category. Treat it accordingly.
No warranty
The site is provided as is. We do not warrant that any listing is accurate, current or complete; that a listed business exists, is still trading, is registered, licensed, insured or bonded; or that it is suitable for what you need. Details change constantly and our sources are imperfect. Verify anything you intend to rely on, directly with the business and with the relevant register.
To the extent the law allows, OLT Solutions is not liable for loss arising from your use of this directory or from your dealings with any business you found through it. Your contract, if you engage a firm, is with that firm and not with us. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, and nothing in them removes rights you have under consumer protection legislation.
If you are a listed business
- Listing is free. There is no paid tier, and no placement is for sale.
- You can have your entry corrected, or removed entirely, at any time and at no cost — use the correction form.
- If your entry is your own personal name or a home address, see the removal and de-indexing section of our privacy policy.
- See how to get listed if you are not here yet.
Acceptable use
- Do not scrape, crawl for bulk extraction, copy the database, or republish it in substance.
- Do not use the listings to send unsolicited commercial messages. Canada’s anti-spam legislation applies to you, not to us, and a published address is not consent.
- Do not use the site to harass anyone or to attempt to disrupt it.
Intellectual property
Individual facts about a business — its name, address and telephone number — are not owned by us. The selection, arrangement, written content and design of this site are ours, and are protected by copyright.
Changes and governing law
We may update these terms; the version in effect is the one published here, with the date shown at the top. These terms are governed by the laws applicable in Québec, Canada.
